In 2008, Christopher Wilhelmi began clerking at Jachimowicz Pointer, Attorneys at Law, Inc. while attending the Santa Clara University and pursuing his J.D. While earning his graduate degree, Mr. Wilhelmi gained significant experience researching and writing motions, completing discovery, civil procedure, and becoming familiar with employment law, ERISA law, and insurance bad-faith. In 2012, he became licensed to practice law in the State of California and the Northern District of California.
Mr. Wilhelmi has the professional, work-related experience few lawyers have to empathize with employees, as well as understand corporate culture and business practices. Since 2008, he has continuously built his legal experience so that he could make a seamless transition into the law.
Now, Mr. Wilhelmi assists employees in wrongful termination, retaliation, discrimination (disability, race, age, gender), and harassment matters, as well as wage and hour claims for overtime and unpaid wages. He also assists employees in regaining the employment-related benefits denied to them, such as long-term disability benefits promised by an employer's welfare plan. Finally, Mr. Wilhelmi assists those who have been wrongfully denied their private insurance-related benefits in bad-faith actions.
Mr. Wilhelmi presently lives in the Bay Area with his wife and enjoys fly fishing, hiking, road biking, running, and coaching youth rugby.
